VOLUNTEER INDUCTION HUI
What To Expect
Ever wanted to volunteer for an LGBTQ+ community charitable organisation? For the first time ever, Radiqal Movement is hosting a community Volunteer Hui to expand and strengthen our volunteer team, and we'd love to have you along! When: Wednesday 11 March, 6-8PM Where: Auckland Women's Centre (all genders welcome as after-hours) What: Joyful Volunteer Induction & yummy kai! Volunteering for Radiqal means connecting with other queer folk, contributing to a collective vision of accessible, queer-affirming movement spaces, helping build community, developing leadership and community management skills, and learning from peers and experienced facilitators. Our 2026 induction evening warmly invites all current and new volunteers to attend. This session is designed for everyone joining our team and is essential for understanding who we are, what we do, and our mission. You’ll also learn about our community activities, events, and the responsibilities involved, so everyone starts with the same knowledge and tools to contribute confidently. Volunteers at Radiqal Movement are: • Passionate about building a supportive, inclusive, and joyful community for queer and gender-diverse people • Friendly and reliable • Affirming of all body types, identities, and experiences • Willing to learn, take initiative, and step into leadership or facilitator roles • Comfortable communicating with a diverse group of participants and managing group dynamics • Excited to contribute to planning, delivering, and supporting Radiqal’s highly-loved community activities and/or events at least once a month. We know everyone’s capacity looks different. To build a steady and connected volunteer team, we ask for volunteers who can commit to supporting us at least once a month. If that rhythm isn’t doable for you right now, we appreciate your interest and hope we can connect further down the line.
