DYKES N HIKES

1 hMaungawhau / Mount Eden - meet Normanby/Clive rd. playground

What To Expect

Enjoy the local trails with our volunteer-facilitated DYKES N HIKES group. This group welcomes people of all fitness levels and walking/running experience to enjoy movement together. We say "hikes", but really, we enjoy leisurely walks with good chat and often puppy cuddles! Get some fresh air, enjoy moving your body, and make some new friends. Join our Facebook Messenger group chat via our Facebook group: "Radiqal Movement Members & Supporters". Disclaimer – although overseen by Radiqal Movement, DYKES N HIKES is not an instructor-led activity. Group communication is made through our Facebook "Radiqal Movement Members & Supporters" group and group chat. If you are new to exercise, have any medical conditions or injuries, please ensure you have gained your healthcare provider’s clearance before attending. Although all due care is taken, you are participating at your own risk and must listen to your body at all times. Walk/run to how you are feeling on the day and to where you’re at within your own current level of fitness. We encourage you to have something to drink and/or eat prior to and after the session. If you feel unwell or experience any unusual pain or discomfort, please stop immediately and seek assistance.

Booking terms & conditions

Radiqal Movement’s free community activities (such as Mermascs, Dykes n Hikes, and other events) are designed to support connection, joy, and collective wellbeing. We want to make sure everyone has the chance to take part and that our volunteer facilitators and organisers feel respected and supported. If you register for a community activity and can no longer attend, please cancel your spot as soon as possible via your 'My Booking Page' or by emailing rm@radiqalmovement.com. This helps us manage group size, keep waitlists moving, and plan safely for all participants. If you’re running late, we totally understand - please do your best to let us know. For events with start times (like hikes or swims), we may begin without late arrivals to ensure the group’s safety and flow. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may affect your ability to register for future activities. Although overseen by Radiqal Movement, community activities are not instructor-led, but rather guided by our Volunteers. If you are new to exercise, have any medical conditions or injuries, please ensure you have gained your healthcare provider’s clearance before attending. Although all due care is taken, you are participating at your own risk and must listen to your body at all times. Exercise to how you are feeling on the day and to where you’re at within your own current level of fitness. We encourage you to have something to drink and/or eat prior to and after the session. If you feel unwell or experience any unusual pain or discomfort, please stop immediately and seek assistance. There may be photos taken during the activity - if you’d prefer not to be photographed or posted, just let us know on the day. These activities are free, but they rely on the energy of our community and volunteers - so thank you for showing up with care! We reserve the right to update this policy as needed. If changes are made, we’ll notify you here. Updated 04/09/2025
