Service Description

Introducing, Radiqal's very first strength workshop series. From mastering foundational movements to enhancing mind-body connection and crafting personalised training programmes, these workshops are designed to empower individuals of all fitness levels within the LGBTQIA+ community. Led by Radiqal Movement's Founder & CEO, participants will learn to embrace holistic approaches to movement, centering the principles of joy and consent. Check out our workshop layouts below: Workshop 1 - Foundations of Strength: Squats & Chest Press Overview: Establish a foundational understanding of lifting, with a focus on two key strength exercises. Content: - Squat mechanics, proper form, and variations for different fitness levels. - Chest press techniques using dumbbells and bodyweight variations. - Breathing, tempo, body awareness and alignment. - Kōrero on listening to your body and starting gradually. Focus exercises: Squat and chest press variations. Workshop 2 - Deadlifts & Pushup Progressions: Overview: Using our foundational knowledge, focus on deadlifts and pushups. Content: - Deadlift variations, emphasising proper hip hinge and back safety. - Progressions for pushups, catering to individual strength levels. - Kōrero on the importance of warming up and cooling down Focus exercises: Romanian deadlifts, deadlifts, and progressive pushup variations. Workshop 3 - Varied Strength: Exploring Diverse Exercises: Overview: Dive into a variety of strength-based exercises targeting different muscle groups. Content: - Introduction to compound exercises like lunges, rows, and overhead presses. - Explore the versatility of resistance bands. - Kōrero about enhancing mind-body connections Focus Exercises: Walking lunges, overhead press & banded rows Workshop 4 - Designing Your Training Programme: A Personalised Approach: Overview: Learn the principles of designing a personalised strength training program. Content: - Understanding individual goals and crafting tailored workout plans. - Introduction to REPS, SETS & varying intensity. - Incorporate mobility exercises - Practical & psychological tips to help build a sustainable, enjoyable exercise routine. Practical Exercise: Participants will create and receive feedback on their personalised training programme. Showers available. Cancellation Policy

Radiqal Movement works on an appointment based schedule to allow you the time required for your fitness session. Please be on time for your appointments. If you are late for a session it will still end at the scheduled time. If you are more than 15 minutes late for a session, it will be considered a no-show and you will be required to pay the fee for the session. Any cancellations need to be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please go to your 'My Booking Page'. Failure to cancel or reschedule a training session within this time will result in you being charged for the session. We reserve the right to modify this cancellation policy at any time.
