What To Expect
Join us for the queerest beach day of the year โ Radiqal's annual Beach Day 25'! Think classic beach games, BBQ snags, pups, and plenty of community vibes. This day is all about connection and pure, summery queer joy. Whether youโre a keen swimmer, rocking your first binder or bikini, or just here to chill with a good book, youโre so welcome. Whatโs in Store: ๐พ Throwback Beach Games - if it's your thing, get your game face on for a round of swing ball, volleyball, & more. ๐ญ BBQ - we'll be serving up classic snags (sausages in bread, vege & gluten free options too). Feel free to bring other picnic food! ๐ถ Chill Vibes - beachy tunes, gazebos, and all-around good company. ๐ Body Boards & swimming - splash around in the moana or catch some waves with some mates! Health & Safety: ๐ Swim Safely - we'll be encouraging everyone to keep themselves safe. Consider swimming between the flags and with a buddy. ๐ฟ Respect Te Taiao (nature) โ letโs keep our beach beautiful! Long beach is a no waste space. Take any rubbish home. โ๏ธ Be Sun Smart โ bring your sunblock, hats, lots of water, and anything else to stay protected. ๐ We will have a number of Volunteers and facilitators to support folk if needed. Other Things to Consider Bringing: ๐๏ธ Picnic blankets, boogie boards, lots of water, togs and towels, beach games, a book, your favorite beach gear. Venue Notes: Changing rooms are council-provided and gendered - please take note. Dogs are permitted on the Southern Beach areas south of Vaughan Stream with restrictions (see Council website). This is a **sober event** โ we're here to create a relaxed, inclusive, and fun environment for everyone.

Safe Space: Be mindful of language and behaviours that may exclude or harm others. Respect Privacy: Donโt share the personal details of other participants without their explicit consent. Health & Safety Safety First: Follow all health and safety instructions from Radiqal Movement staff. Disregarding these guidelines may result in removal from the event. Appropriate Attire: Wear clothing that is safe and comfortable, including closed-toe shoes where required. Photography & Media Photography/Videography: Respect others' privacy by not taking or sharing photos or videos without the express permission of everyone involved. Commercial Use: Do not use any photo or video taken at our events for commercial purposes without written consent from Radiqal Movement's Chief Executive. No Photos in Restricted Areas: Photography is strictly prohibited in private spaces like changing rooms. Community Engagement Positive Atmosphere: Foster a welcoming, safe, and inclusive atmosphere. Engage in respectful conversations and embrace the diversity of perspectives, identities and lived experiences within our community. Complaints Process If any issues arise during an event, please contact the Chief Executive via email at rm@radiqalmovement.com. All concerns will be addressed promptly and professionally. Cancellation Policy Paid bookings can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the event for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event are non-refundable, as our team has already committed time and resources to making the magic happen. Thanks for understanding!
